  1. I has an older professional tripod, given to my by a family member. from years of use it was in disrepair and missing parts so I to take a chance on what seemed to be a “too good to be true” tripod.

This thing is incredible. Sturdy, versatile, tall, when needed short if needed. The main post even can be flipped upside down to invert the camera for macro shots. The rubber feet can be “spun up” to reveal spiked feet for shooting on rocky terrain.

The pistol grip ball head I wasn’t sure about, but really helps on uneven ground. And again, it is solid. I was shooting a Canon 6D with a 70-300 lens fully extended doing HDR photography with NO movement.

I read and saw a number of reviews that said the head has to be removed to use the included case. I didn’t have that experience. Once in the case, the head has to be slanted slightly, but no weird tricks, zipper closed fine. One thought was that people may have been extending the feet? Not sure.

I do a lot of nature photography Many times hiking to an area to get a shot. This is not a light weight unit. The straps on the bag do open up so you can carry it over your shoulders like a backpack, but that’s the only thing your going to carry!
